At Speak2Mentor, our primary focus is empowering students from disadvantaged backgrounds through mentorship. We welcome mentors from diverse backgrounds to contribute to this transformative journey.

Expectations

  • Familiarity with Indian Education Systems: Understanding the Indian education landscape is essential, especially when guiding students facing unique challenges due to their background.
  • Soft Skills for Inclusive Mentoring: Embrace inclusiveness in your approach to support students from various backgrounds. Listening, empathy, and cultural sensitivity are vital in creating a safe and supportive mentoring environment.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Hindi is crucial for effective communication, ensuring accessibility for a wider range of students.
  • Time Commitment: Mentors are expected to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week, providing consistent support to students.
  • Minimum One-Year Commitment: Building trust and fostering growth takes time. A commitment of at least one year ensures a stable and impactful mentor-student relationship.
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): Confidentiality is paramount. Mentors will be required to sign an NDA to ensure the privacy and trust of all involved parties.
